Abacus Research, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Paul A. Seguin. Mr. Seguin is a seasoned investigator whose experience includes military police service, military CID (or the Criminal Investigative Department), loss prevention service for a major, nationwide corporation, as well as several years in the insurance and corporate sector as an investigator.

Mr. Seguin founded Abacus Research, Inc. with the goal of providing quality, ethical service to his clients while maintaining the integrity of what a proper investigation should be. Mr. Seguin desired the creation of a better agency, that put the client’s needs before its own, and served in that manner rather than be served.

The result was Abacus Research, Inc., an entity that cares about the integrity of its clients, the investigation, and is continually driven to succeed as it meets the responsibilities assigned to it. Mr. Seguin is interested in providing the best in service to you, and is available to answer your questions or concerns at any time.

All of our investigators are subjected to a rigorous background investigation, as well as our internal screening process, to insure that we are using only the best quality people for our assignments. Each of our investigators must have several key elements to qualify for service with us: adaptability, experience, and the willingness to participate in continuing education to better serve our clients.
